Custom Systems • Cloud Delivery • Product Engineering
Kavionyx Inc is a Denver software studio that cuts operational systems the way a gem cutter works onyx: slowly at the core, without cheap shortcuts, and with no patience for tools that crack when the load arrives.
Kavionyx Inc was formed in Denver as an independent software house for operators who had already outgrown patchwork tools, rented platforms, and “good enough” rebuilds.
We design and ship long-lived software cores: the systems that schedule work, move money, keep records, and stay calm when volume spikes. Our engineers sit with the people who run the business, then encode that knowledge into software that remains readable years later. The name is a reminder of the standard. Onyx does not look expensive because it is loud. It looks expensive because it is dense, dark, and finished.
Every interface, data model, and release is cut to a named operational job—not a generic digital wish list.
We build for the third year of production, when the original team is gone and the system still has to explain itself.
Architecture, estimates, and tradeoffs are spoken in plain language so operators can decide without translation.
After launch we remain the system’s keepers: observing, refining, and refusing silent decay.
Four named lines of work. Each one is a complete delivery path, not a slide-deck service category.
Custom application engineering for the operational spine of a company: the system staff actually live in all day.
Cloud platform delivery that treats infrastructure as a product: observable, boring to operate, and hard to accidentally break.
Product systems and interface work that makes complex operations feel quiet: fewer screens, stronger language, cleaner decisions.
Integration architecture that joins ledgers, warehouses, and field tools without creating a second, unofficial version of the truth.
A compact senior bench. Clients work with the people who actually design and ship the system.
Principal Systems Architect
Elena shapes the software core: data models, failure paths, and the rules that keep a system honest after the first release.
Delivery Director
Marcus keeps complex builds on a human cadence: named milestones, visible risk, and no theatrical go-live surprises.
Product Engineering Lead
Priya turns operator language into screens and services that feel inevitable, then proves them on the floor before they ship.
Cloud Platform Lead
Jonah builds the quiet machinery underneath: environments, rollouts, and the observability that makes night pages rare.
